Lasik eye surgery cost varies for a number of reasons. Normally prices are quoted per eye. If you have both eyes corrected at the same time, the quoted price is doubled. Some surgeons might also add extra charges when new technologies are used. One such technology is wavefront analysis which allows for super precise corrections.
There may be extra charges for an all-laser treatment. This procedure does not use any blades, a laser is used to create a flap on the front of the eye. This slim flap is lifted to allow the laser energy to shape the eye. The flap is then put back into place and acts like a natural bandage for the treated area.
Average quoted prices:
• $2 150 for an all laser vision correction
• $1 580 for treatment using a bladed instrument, not guided by a wavefront analysis
• $2 170 for a wavefront guided treatment

Actual LASER time is proportionate to the intended correction and usually between 20-50 seconds for most patients. However, including preparatory time, the time duration will be 10-15 minutes.
